5 Reasons why you should use Salvaged Auto parts

There are a variety of reasons why you may consider using salvaged/used auto parts for your replacements or rebuilds. Here are my top five in order:

1. Save Money - Salvaged Auto parts can be bought at bargain prices. You can literally save $1000's by using salvaged parts.

2. Save the Environment - The impacts of global warming are becoming more and more pronounced as the years go by. As responsible citizens of our country and the world we are encouraged to look for ways to reduce our ecological footprint. One way that we can do this as auto enthusiasts is to use salvaged auto parts rather than purchasing brand new ones. This not only saves precious landfill space but also reduces manufacturing pollution & oil usage.

3. Keep unfit cars off the road - The Auto Salvage industry provides a service for people to sell there old cars & motorcycles for parts and recoup some money. If this industy did not exist many more unfit cars would continue to drive on our roads as people could not afford to replace or repair them.

3. Use Original Parts - Often when a part in your car or motorcycle needs replacing it is done with inferior aftermarket parts. By buying salvaged auto parts you can install Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) parts and let your car or motorcycle run the way it was designed to! In some cases, particularly with older makes & models, some parts are not available as they are no longer in production. If this is the case, salvaged or used auto parts are your only option.

4. Reduce your insurance - One of the ways insurance companies make back some of there money on insurance claims is by selling damaged cars or motorcycles to salvage yards for parts. Without the existance of a salvage market, car & motorcycle insurance would be much higher!

5. Salvaged Auto Parts are generally good quality - A lot of people seem to think that salvaged parts are poor quality or highly used and not appropriate for repairs or rebuilds. Often salvaged auto parts have barely been used and are in "as new" or "excellent" condition.
